About Cataracts

 

A cataract is a clouding or opacity that develops in the lenses of the eyes. Several factors are believed to cause cataracts. But the more prevalent factor is damage caused by Free Radicals. They are harmful to the cells of the eyes, causing cataracts and other eyes conditions associated with aging.

 

Dry Eye & Cataracts

 

Ocular surface diseases in the cataracts population are far more common than most people believe, especially because cataract occurs in the elderly population which is due to hormonal changes related to the age, having increased dry eyes issues. Additionally, cataract surgery has been shown to exacerbate pre-existing dry eyes and induced dry eyes in patients with healthy corneas. Because cataract surgery is incisional and most of the cataracts patients are older. There is almost always going to be a general worsening of dry eyes after cataract surgery.

 

Scientists believe that keeping your eyes moisturized is an indispensable measure to prevent early development of cataracts. As well as maintaining good eye sight after cataract surgery.

 

CHARACTERISTICS:

 

Catar-Eye contains two important active ingredients (For reference):

 

Works as a powerful lubricant in virtue of its viscosity and as an absorbance due to its elasticity. It helps maintain hydration and integrity of the tear film, the lubricant of the cornea and reduces the evaDoration of the tear film.

Blueberry contains powerful anti-oxidant Flavonoids, scavenging free radicals and is used for multiple age related ocular disorders, including muscular degeneration and cataracts. It helps improve oxygen and blood delivery to the eyes. The activity of Anthocyanosides of Blueberry has an affinity for the pigmented epithelium (visual purple) area of the retina. It is responsible for vision adjustment to light and dark.

2-3 drops in each eye several times a day, for several drops or needed.

 

The product can also be used with worn contact lenses.
