What is myopia?

Myopia tends to occur during the age of 8 to 15. Over 60% of 12-year-old students in Hong Kong are reported to have myopia. The most common rationale is axial elongation, which makes the light of a distant object focused in front of the retina, forming a blurred image. Research shows that every 1 mm axial elongation increases about 250 to 300 degrees of myopia.
