Contractubex Gel
Model: S0705
Product Description
Contractubex Gel
Composition:
Extr. cepae 10.0 g,heparin sodium 5000 I.U., allantoin 1.0 g,Gel base ad 100 g.
Properties:
Contractubex exerts a softening and smoothening effect on indurated, hypertrophic, painful and cosmetically disfiguring scar tissue. Heparin promotes the hydration (water-binding capacity) of the hardened tissue thus effecting the swelling and, therefore, a relaxation of the scars. Extr. cepae and allantoin support this softening effect. The water-soluble Gel base mediates the deep penetration of the active ingredients into the skin and therefore affords an intensive local treatment.
Indications:
Hypertrophic and keloidal scars, movement-restricting and cosmetically disfiguring scars after operations, amputations, burns and accidents; contractures such as Dupuytren,s contracture and traumatic tendon contracture, cicatricial strictures.
Dosage and mode of application:
Unless otherwise prescribed by the physician, Contractubex is slightly massaged into the skin or scar tissue several times daily until complete penetration of the ointment. In the case of hard, old scars Contractubex may be allowed to take effect overnight under a dressing. According to the size of the existing scar or contracture treatment will be necessary for several weeks. Subsequent operations and transplants can often be avoided by the application of Contractubex.
