As you take your course of 'Simaglen1 you will probably find that the pain and discomfort you may be experiencing lessens or disappears. If you're taking antacids, you may also find that you need less of them,
l Because of its action 'Simaglen1 can also be used to treat Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, gastroesphageal reflux disease and the esophageal ulceration associated.
SIDE EFFECTS

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION
Like all medication,'Simaglen' will only work properly if it is taken properly. Here are some guidelines.
l 'Simaglen1 is available in the following forms:
l Tablets - Each tablet contains cimetidine 400mg.
l The usual dose of 'Simaglen' is designed to keep the acid in your stomach at a low level for all of the day and night.
l It is recommended that any day-time dose be taken with a meal as this prolongs the action of the drug. Taking 400mg at bedtime helps ensure a low level of acid throughout the night and a pain-free night's rest.
Note:
l Treatment should be continued until you have taken a complete course of at least 4 weeks. You may well find that you feel very well after only a few days treatment. This does not mean that your ulcer is completely healed. It is important that you complete treatment to allow your ulcer adequate time to heal.
l Sometimes after your ulcer has healed, your doctor may prescribe a reduced dose of 'Simaglenfor a further period. Many duodenal ulcers have a tendency to clear up for a short while and then to come back again. Your stomach produces acid continuously.

Antiacids:
