Product Description
Dr. Max’s Scar Treatment-Silicone Scar Gel Patches
Helps remove new and old scars
Introduction
Dr. Max's Silicone scar gel’s clinically technology diminishes scars both new and old, restoring skin to a more natural texture and colour. Used after surgery or injury, our advanced technology even helps prevent scar tissue from forming. It is safe for anyone aged three and above and all skin tones, and alleviates the itching and discomfort associated scars.
Dr. Max,s Silicone scar gel uses an advanced silicone technology, which mimics the natural barrier function of healthy skin. Research suggests that silicone acts to hydrate scar tissue, which includes softening the scar, reducing its development and causing it to fade away.
Each Dr. Max,s Silicone scar gel is made with a specialty material that provides a unique combination of breathability, flexibility, wash ability and adhesiveness.
Dr. Max,s Silicone scar gel is so comfortable; you may forget you're wearing it.
Directions
1. Wash your hands and the scar area with soap and water. Dry thoroughly.
2. Cut the silicone scar gel to fit the scar areas, as needed, so that the edges of the gel extend at least 1/4” beyond the scar on all sides.
3. Gently peel the plastic protective film from sticky side the silicone gel. Do not discard the plastic protective film.
4. Place the sticky side of the silicone scar gel directly onto the scar. For best results, initially, wear the gel 4-8 hours per day for adaptation of your scar. After several days, wear the gel 8-12 hours per day.
5. When not wearing the silicone scar gel, place the gel (sticky side) back onto the plastic film. Place the gel back into the original pouch for protection, if desired.
6. When the sticky side of the gel appears dirty or worn, use your finger to gently wash the gel with water, as needed. Rinse with water and allow to air dry. The stickiness will return once dry. Do not fold while washing or drying.
7. If necessary, replace it when its stickiness loses a lot.
8. Each period of treatment lasts two months. In case of serious scars, keep using it for 3-6 months.
Remarks: The silicone scar gel is effective as long as it remains sticky. After several applications, the silicone scar gel may appear worn out, but if it sticks to the skin it will keep working. Proper use, and gentle care of the silicone scar gel, should let you use it as long as it loses stickiness.
