Vitamin A (Cod Liver Oil)-2500 I.U,Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) -250 I.U

Vitamin A: is a fat soluble vitamin essential for growth, tissue development, and for vision, particularly in dim light. It is an antioxidant. Prolonged deficiency leads to "dry eye", the initial symptoms of which is night blindness which may progress to severe eye lesions and blindness.

Deficiency of vitamin A may give rise to skin changes, causing dry rough skin, with lowered resistance to minor skin infection. Deficiency of vitamin A is linked with increased frequency of infection and with defective immunological defence mechanisms.

Vitamin D: compounds includes ergocalciferol (D2), cholecalciferol (D3) are fat-soluble sterols necessary for the absorption and proper regulation of calcium and phosphate from the gastro-instestinal tract and for their transport. It is also essential for bone mineralisation. Deficiency of vitamin D is associated with the occurrence of rickets in children and osteomalacia in adults and is a factor in the production of tetany.

Adult Dosage : One capsule daily or as directed by physician.
