Magic Propolis

Special components in the resin and pollen collected by the bee mix with the saliva of the bee and then ferment in the hypopharyngeal gland，forming a special greasy substance which is used by the bee to patch or lap up cracks in the honeycomb. That greasy substance is called propolis. Studies indicate that a honeycomb housing fifty to sixty thousand bees is free from bacteria, which can be explained by the magic antibacterial effect of propolis.

Propolis has served the humankind for over two thousand years. Soldiers of the Roman Empire used propolis to heal wounds and kept it at hand for emergency needs.
